영화, 혹은 뮤지컬 에비타의 곡 중 하나인 어 뉴 아르헨티나의 뮤지컬 버전입니다. 이 또한 앤드류 로이드 웨버의 뮤지컬이죠.
뮤지컬다운 시원하고 쭉쭉 뻗는 벨팅 창법이 두드러지는 곡입니다. 영화 에비타 버전의 곡은 좀 더 감수성이 드러나는 느낌이라면 뮤지컬은 좀 더 박력있고 강한 힘이 느껴지는 느낌이죠. 에바역의 페티 루폰과 체 게바라의 솔로 부분은 정말 최고입니다.

스티브 발사모(Steve Balsamo)는 제가 가장 좋아하는 가수이자 뮤지컬 배우입니다.아는 뮤지컬 배우가 두명 될까하지만요.
1971년생으로 무려 40대인 분이죠.테드 닐리나 드류 사리치도 대단한 분이지만(특히 닐리는 나이도 나이임에도 유튜브를 찾아보면 07년도,08년도에도 겟쎄마네를 부르며 건재함을 과시하시는 분이죠.) 개인적으로 스티브 발사모만큼 멋진 보컬은 없었습니다. 물론 다른 영상에서의 보컬들도 굉장하지만 말이죠.
앨범이나 다른 곡을 들어보면 감미로운 목소리에 위 동영상 2분 57초에 터져나오는 3옥타브의 고음과 바로 뒤에 꺽여져 내려오는 음,그리고 3분 57초에 터져나오는 멋진 고음의 샤우팅은 보는 이들로 하여금 탄성과 전율이 느껴지죠.
한때 이 곡에 빠져서 몇시간동안 유튜브 사이트에서 이 곡만 듣고있던적도 있었죠.
제가 스티브 발사모를 알게된 계기가 저 곡의 영상이고 이후 <Immortal>같은 명곡을 부른 동영상(위키피디아에서 디스코그래피를 찾아보면 03년에 저 곡으로 싱글앨범도 냈다는군요.), All I Am이라는 앨범도 알게되어 다운받게 되었죠. 꽤 찾기 어려웠습니다만 그래도 찾았죠.
여담이지만 JCS의 다른 곡인 Judas' Death도 꽤 좋은 곡입니다. 동영상이나 연기도 볼만하구요. 다만 흠이 있다면 음질이 그다지 좋지 못하다는것 정도.
몇가지 더, 유튜브에서 잘 찾아보면 <Well of Souls>,<Tiny star>,<Torn Apart> 같은 멋진 곡도 찾아낼수 있습니다. Torn Apart는 알송에 이미 가사가 해석된 채로 있더군요 ㄷㄷ(참고로 위 링크의 Well of Souls는 앞부분 17초까지는 아무 소리도 안나옵니다.) <Sugar For the Soul>은 All I Am앨범의 1번 곡입니다. 그리고 링크의 동영상은 뮤비이고 스티브 발사모의 앳된 모습도 볼수있죠 ㅋ
